An adventure is ahead...
Myself and @richardbrazier will be starting the preliminary stages of the Pattaya Ghetto Rig Phase 1 tomorrow. Off to the harware shop to buy the tubing and brackets, investigate de-bezeling my 40 inch Sony LCD's to incorparate in the PVC Triple monitor mount and with a bit of luck might be back in business tomorrow night albeit with my G27 :-( Wont be too long before my brother brings me my T500RS and pedals along with the formula rim later in the month though.
Wish us luck boys. Will take photos and video when completed!
Paul

All the best. I am thinking of building a more permanent setup too. Any photos you take of the build will be interesting/ useful. However mundane you may think it is.

@paultds Are you doing the reflective aluminum mod too, to hide the bezel completely?

@paultds Are you doing the reflective aluminum mod too, to hide the bezel completely? The bezel is only 5mm so I don't think it would be worth it... I am also building a triple monitor enclosure which will be fixed to the PVC Rig! Will post pictures tomorrow....

Plans changed along the way! The monitor mounts will be changed... they are fixed but I dont like them, will be building some sort of shelf for them raised up slightly. The monitors are out of their case and mounted into the would I have glued with epoxy glue... This is my standard G27 pedals raised up at approx 45 Deg and bolted on to some hardboard My seat a standard office chair with the Wheels and base removed and then screwed into the PVC tubes. Side view underneath of the PVC structure Overview of the rig with my movable arm to get in and out! Will change the monitor mount in a couple of days... Special thanks to @richardbrazier for all of his help!

I like the setup. how difficult was it to make the monitor stand? Are the monitors firmly in place now? Does it all line up properly?
I currently have 3 monitors on a raised table and sit on an angle but i am worried about knocking them

They are solid enough for the moment but will change it soon... the actual base and wheel platform is great!
Point to note. The monitors I have de-bezeled are 22inch LED BenQ monitors.... WoW... without the bezel they are amazing, and because I am sitting closer my POV is just a bit lower than with my 40 LCD TV and the image is much sharper.

I really like that kind of sheepskin on the wheel !! Ever since I saw that I've been searching for some fluffy dice and a nodding dog to send to Paul (maybe only the English will understand this!).
