I bought a new phone, because my old one started pissing me off to the point that if my dad doesn't want it, I will be using my new phone to take a video of my old phone taking seven .357mag rounds to its stupid face. Lol.
Cool pictures this weekend, I'm hoping. I'd really like to get the car washed and waxed on whatever day is clear and dry and then head out to downtown and find some interesting places for a photo shoot.
I have only made one mod so far, and absolutely love it. My throttle pedal like all American shitsacks was way too far toward the firewall and made it impossible to rev-match downshifts. I added a 1" spacer (blue of course) to the pedal mount and it has completely changed braking performance. Now I'm not beating the bejeezus out of my clutch and synchros when I downshift, and the tires don't chirp and momentarily break traction going into the corner. I also REALLY love my Potenza RE050's, but they wear far too fast for a street tire and are by no means a racing tire. Hoping to afford 15" rims for slicks and 16" rims for street use. 17's are a pain in the ass...
Next upgrade though is a rear motor mount. I'll probably just break down and by a Prothane race bushing kit.

Just be sure to check on brake clearance when you're shopping around for 15inch wheels. I know it would piss me off changing wheels to get a good going , only to find out those darn wheels won't even fit over the brakes... Trust me, been there... In the end I had to resort to using a 3mm spacer on both sides getting a hair thickness of space between my 4pots and wheels at front of my escort.

The rear motor mount was supposed to be the next upgrade; however, a man can only go so long before going absolutely crazy if he doesn't hear some snarly backfires on the overrun. I am that man. As such, I straight piped my Fiesta. Now I know what you're thinking. The car has 12,000 miles on it. It's clean as a whistle. What could possibly possess somebody to take a hacksaw to their OEM stainless exhaust for no apparent reason? Well, the reason is as follows; these cars make no noise. You'd think the little bastard was a Prius. Even at 5000rpm the sound of the low-pro tires is louder than the exhaust note. And since 2 1/4" exhaust (or rather, 55mm because this car has metric exhaust...) flows better than the outlet of the turbo, there's not a lot of reason to purchase aftermarket pipe. So, about $35 worth of 2 1/4" pipe, flanges, and a 2.5" turndown later, I had the car on the lift with a sawzall in my hand and a welder at the ready. And I have zero regrets. There is no serious drone at idle or cruise (though it is noticeably louder), and under boost the exhaust note really wakes up and grunts. It doesn't roar like my old Camaro blower-car, and it doesn't make the incredible noises that the turbo 5.3 shrek truck does. That seems obvious though, a 5.3L V8 with a 70+mm turbo that spins all of its exhaust gas out the side fender via about 24" of 4.5" pipe will no doubt be much louder, and much more impressive. It's also unbearable to commute with, unless you have noise cancelling earbuds inside of your earmuffs. Not here; my little ST is still very docile and tame in the exhaust note until boost is built and the revs are raised, and then you get a pleasant rumble in the cabin. Letting off the throttle results in more pops and crackles than a fresh bowl of Rice Crispy's. I like it. Video will be taken as soon as I find the motivation to bring the car in for another wash and wax. The conditions by me this week have been apocalyptic blizzard to say the least. No point in washing the car up nice. And I will be damned if I put a video up on YouTube of my car looking like hell, so you bitches will just have to wait. Or be on TeamSpeak when I have my phone app up and I'll throw the sumbitch under the car and hammer the go-pedal It's tax season, and my refund should be here in the next week or two by my guess. Cobb will immediately get an order for their AccessPort V3, AccessTuner Race software, and a rear motor mount. And I think I might forego my desire for a front splitter in favor of some Rally Armor mudflaps. Seriously. This car gets so dirty so fast around here that I about have my mind set on some mudflaps. I'm thinking red. I don't know. We'll see. I do need to build a computer at some point... -Travis

Problably would have saved me lot's of cash that could have been used for some better motor upgrades. Though I thought you would keep the little runner a bit stock for the time being and give it some hammering around the tracks? But keep up the good work, you're building one hell of a tracktoy. @marco, Nice ride dude

For me, this is "stock" lol. I'm usually sack-deep into a bigger turbo, tubular header, blah blah blah about 5 days into owning something.

Cobb tuner installed. Stage 1 OTS map loaded. Noticeable low end gains.
Launch Control, 2500rpm fuel cut and 4000rpm throttle cut. Very awesome.
Burnout button. Love it.
Switchable economy map, limits to 6psi max boost. Didn't know that was there. Can switch on the fly.
Rear Motor Mount getting delivered tomorrow. Probably installed by week's end. The weather here was great this weekend, could practice some launches and do a few 3rd gear on-road butt-dyno pulls haha. I love this car. Cobb AcessTuner Race software should be getting purchased soon. And just like that, I spent ALL my money. And didn't build a computer. The good news on that front is... my brother is likely to get two room mates at his house who both intend on paying for cable and internet. I might chip in if I can put a computer in the garage.
