Yeah I know about massa. I always kinda liked him. That ridculous voice and tiny size just makes it hilarious seeing him running the quickest cars in the world. But he's always been kinda full of himself. Sure, all racers think they are the best, but most are more or less in tune with how their capabilities holds up against the opposition. Massa just doesnt have a fucking clue.
And I think with the Kimi-thing there is more to it. Lotus is obviously discontent with him leaving. Loving that they all of sudden started praising Growjohn like he's the best thing since sliced bread. And we know how a un-motivated Kimi performs.. And I would get it too if I didnt get payed. but I must say.. the Ferrari move really reeks of MONEY-GRABBING-WHORE. Either he doesnt care if people treat him like shit and have no backbone, or he made Monty apologize to him. Im not Kimis biggest fan, but Im always entertained by him and thought he had more integrity but going back to a team that so blatantly mistreated him isnt something that makes him look good. Not in my opinion at least.

Hmm, thats a good point. Kimi also said he's not there for the money (He raced anyways without getting all his money from Lotus), and that he's there just to race. If ferrari, one of the top teams, offers you a spot, wouldnt you take it so you'd have a much better chance at dominating like Vettel is doing?! lol

Lol, I get what you mean. Ferrari is a top team, and it is the safe bet. Lotus is unstable, money-wise, for sure.. But he's returning to the team that have the driver that replaced him as a clear no. 1..
But it will be interesting. As a racer Kimi is really good. But I think Alonso will be too much to match for Kimi. But you think ferrari will be challenging for wins next year?

but I must say.. the Ferrari move really reeks of MONEY-GRABBING-WHORE. Definitely. Because who would want to get paid to drive an F1 car for your job. And then get paid more, to drive a faster one, around a more intelligent group of people. O_o -Travis

Lol travis. I get what youre saying. But still.. The team he's returning to is the team that paid millions to get rid of him. And that is Kimi, the one they mean is "the free-spirit, I dont give a fuck" character in F1. Well.... It's obvious the finn has been brown-noising Monty to get the seat. Monty quite openly didnt like kimi and that's a guy that never changes his opinions. So Im not saying Kimi did the wrong choice (althou I expect Ferrari to be the crappiest engine, power and reliability-wise), but he can drop the cool-act lol

I think Alonso will have his hands full with Kimi, who has been riding his gearbox all season in a crappier car. I think once he gets in a quick car he'll be towards the top consistently (assuming Ferrari's new car is any good). Also, I know Kimi wasn't the easiest driver to work with for the engineers at Ferrari when he was there, so it'll be interesting to see how all this works out.

Ferrari: Kimi, how much camber adjustment do we need to add? How does the car feel? What can be improved? Kimi: It is fine. Ferrari: But our telemetry shows the outside of the tire is too hot! Kimi: Shutup, I know what I am doing.

Lol at what Kimi said about his FP1 crash. "Maybe I ran out of talent there"

I love his one-liners after shit like that.
"... These things happen." You'd have gotten an earful from Vettel about what happened and why and how awesome Red Bull is and blah blah blah. Kimi was just like... "Eh. These things happen. I went off. I lost the rear. They fixed it."

He can be funny at times. Sometimes thou, his die-hard fans make way too much out of his comments. But I dont get the SV-bash there Travis. Vettel isnt that kind of corporate drone and often get crap for his wording. I for one find him pretty funny at times and that last thing he said about his team not dipping their balls in the pool instead of working in the factory made me laugh. I get he can be slated for being disrespectful against fellow competitors for such a remark, but tbh that's usually how he words stuff and isn't said in a way to be a dig at other teams and their personnel, because if you watch his interviews he is always saying it with as jokes. But the hate towards him is currently ridiculous. But that wasnt what you said anything about lol:P
But what Im on about is the fact that it seems every reporter is going around asking every other driver on the grid about it and trying to make him look bad. Had Kimi said it, no one would've raised an eyebrow or cared the least.

I think it just bothers me and others how it seems that Red Bull as pulled an advantage, and Vettel's driving ability seems to get all of the credit. I don't doubt his ability. He won a Grand Prix for Toro Rosso in 2008, so it's not like he's a dull driver in a cheater car. He's just a really good driver in the tier 1 of tier 1 cars. It's to the point now where like... I don't give a damn about Vettel. He's gonna qualify second, pass Hamilton on the first lap, and run away with it. Yay. What I'm watching is Alonso cutting through traffic and Kimi and Hulkenberg battling, etc.
The championship has been in the bag for him. It's lame, and nobody cares haha.
He could take ALL OF OCTOBER OFF, miss three Grand Prix's, and be... second in drivers points. He can go f**k around for Korea and Japan, and STILL lead the points.
I hope his trans blows up again like a frog with an M80 up its ass.

I just watch the races for the second/third/fourth battles at this point, and the. On the rare occasion someone other than Vettel wins it's like a bonus. But about the Vettel hate, I thought it was hilarious how much he got booed at Monza when he won and the crowd cheered for second place Alonso like he just cured cancer while saving baby puppies from a burning oil refinery

Lol sure enough, I get how you feel:P But I take it you weren't that into F1 when Schumacher had his dominance? Cuz... This aint nowhere close to that haha:P There is just no way RB will grab half of every point in the constructor championship. And that's not down to Mark Webber being crap. The RB is good, but if the driver aint up for it, it obviously isnt quicker than everything else. It kinda stinks that they've chosen Ricciardo to partner him.. While I guess the powers in RB don't want to upset Vettel by bringing in somebody like Alo, Ham or Kimi (well, I personally dont think Vettel tried to block it like some suggest) but Vettel has nothing to win against having him as his teammate. If he crushes him, he'll just be destroying a nobody journeyman (which is what will happen) or have a hard time against a midfield-driver which isnt something spectacular.
But I guess Vettel will have a hard time proving that he will should be considered a legend in due time. Had it been Hamilton, the British press would hail him as Senna reincarnated (which was what most thought when he challenged Alonso in his first year, in the best car). And yeah, it bugs me! Vettel has had a good car, sometimes by far the quickest but anyone trying to pretend he hasnt put in some absolutely, stunning, classic drives.
But anyways, it seems many are sick of him but the constant fucking booing of him is frankly kinda ridiculous. Had he been British, or driving for Ferrari/McLaren people would still be loving him.
Also, did anyone see what the great Sir Stirling Moss said this week? About Multi 21 and the slating of Vettel? Anyone discrediting one of the true greats in F1 is stupid. Just stupid. And Sir Stirlings summary puts it perfectly. "Well, he's a racer what's wrong with that? You're either a racer or you're a driver and there's a big bloody difference. Drivers are easy to find and racers aren't."

I was a bit young to appreciate the drivers when Schumacher was reigning, but I can imagine everyone except the Germans and the Italians hated him. I agree with what you were saying about vettels skill though. His STR win proves that pretty much. He's one of the best in the best car, so that's a potent combination. I'm just getting bored of it so I hope next year the cars are closer so other great drivers like Kimi, Alonso, Ham and such have a chance.

I'm really interested in the new cars as well. If it broadens and levels the playing field, then I think it's going to be a HUGE improvement in both the technologies area and the fun-factor for fans. I would like to to see teams pushing the limit of chassis design and technology, but I don't want that to end up to be seconds a lap difference, or teams like Marussia and Caterham's case where they're rarely on the same lap as the guys in 16th, far less top-10 or top-5. I actually have a lot of respect for teams like that, coming back to the sport every year with a horrendously small budget to get outgunned every race weekend, but they still do it, and all it really does is train drivers for the better teams.
Would be fantastic to see the whole field (Or whoever's still running) be of mildly similar pace, the difference being largely due to driver performance. It's nice to see the differences in setup theory between teams with cars that are fast in straight lines, or have great aero, or are good on tires, blah blah blah, but it is also nice to see everyone running close and not getting the same qualifying and finishing order every race haha. Though I have to admit the mid-pack battling so far between Force India/Sauber/Toro Rosso/McLaren/ and BOTAS in the Williams has been fun to watch, with the occasional Ferrari or Lotus stuck back there as well.
Botas and Ricciardo are right now possibly my two favorite drivers. And if you ask me to explain why, I will have no response because I don't really know.

Yeah Smoke, it does become a bit boring with only one guy winning after a long time with it so I hope for change too:P
Im pretty sure it wont be levelling the playing field. A reset have never done that, but it's usually at the end of an era where most cars are as equal as possible. The cars before this latest rule change was much closer and the rules were pretty stable for many years before that. Eventhou Ferrari and McLaren did dominate it was a very close field alltogether. I think RB will keep a certain advantage eventhou the cars are new. Not everything is lost and currently they have quite an advantage, yeah?
Bottas was great in F3. Too bad he doesnt get enough exposure in that dog of a williams.
And yup, small teams like the backmarkers should be praised eventhou they sometimes do a horrible job. And after a long enough time they usually turn into a good team unless they dont fold. Just look at what was once Toleman lol:P And Minardi. Or Stewart GP for that matter.

Well, Korea was a fantastic race to watch. Lots of good racing all around.
SAUBER, my GOD. The Ferrari engines seem to pull just ever so harder. I know that they talk about how Ferrari run a longer 7th gear, and Sauber has made quite a significant improvement to the rear wing; but, you can only run that longer 7th gear if you have more torque running through it to make the switch more optimal, and I think the Ferrari power plant is the one to beat. Seems like the RB9 is just all around a better chassis, though, and the Renault isn't at any serious disadvantage. Just doesn't seem to have quite the power of the Ferrari.
The Lotus boys did well. I think Raikkonen did very well to keep his tire degredation in check and run that longer last stint. And then get by Grosjean, that was quite the bold move, but was a fantastic move nonetheless as he didn't do it unfairly, just aggressively. Was fantastic to see Grosjean's pace this race too. He seems to have some problems with racecraft and just making the wrong decisions through the season (Like his quick clash with Perez at Spa that netted Perez an unfair penalty IMO; Grosjean wasn't really pushed off the track. I think he tried to swing as wide as possible to fight back on the outside, but Perez chose to put his sidewalls right next to Grosjean's and Romain just caught himself out late-braking and had to cut the course. Perez didn't do anything wrong, Grosjean just opened a door that Perez took, and once he took it Grosjean was only left with the room he gave HIMSELF, which wasn't enough to make the corner if he broke the same time as Perez). But at Korea he didn't have to fight hard against other aggressive defenders and he cranked out a very nice pace.
Webber and more so Alonso, are fantastic in traffic. I haven't really seen much of Vettel's ability to cut through traffic this season. But holy damn; if there's one thing Alonso has on Kimi, it's his ability to QUICKLY attack and get around the next car if he has the pace.
