I might be really tired but I dont see or get what you're replying to Mulnik. Not trying to be an ass or anything. What did I say about the constructor championship? You mean it as they wouldnt NOT put it on Webbers car because it could risk the win in the WCC?

And staying up for FP1 in Japan when the championship is more or less settled is just plain dumb. I really cant stand to stay awake for anothe 3 hours before it starts. Awesome night otherwise. F1, followed by motogp fp1 and then some NHL and then some more F1 and motogp. NICE
But when it's all done we are well into tomorrow.. And Ill be tired. I cant understand how the fuck I could stay awake for so long at the peak of Forza 4 lol.
Eyy, I can just sleep until noon after watching it lol

Is Japan FP2 morning for you guys thou? Sounds like a sensible tradition thou, cementing the kids love for racing early on is what its all about. Thought we could have a little predictions game for each weekend, always fun with something small like that, especially since it seems we have so many F1 fans around here. I'll set up a thread for it and feel free to make comments of how to change it or improve.

One way to make F1 seem more interesting. Pretend that Vettal doesn't exist. Imagine the championship chase and the races we've had if he wasn't there.

So, Massa to Williams probably. What's your thoughts on that? Kinda sad to see Massa clinging on for dear life even if the Williams could be the surprise package next year. Highly unlikely. Im not saying I dont understand him, I do. Racing in F1 is every petrolheads dream, so trying to stay in it if you can is most likely what every sane person would do.. But at what cost? No one can take away from Massa what he did pre-crash. It's sad that he never returned to his prior speed, even if he has improved his one lap pace this year.
And india too.. Im not a big fan of it, but then again I dont like many new tracks, even if the indian track is pretty decent driving wise.

Also, how bad must it not feel for Da Costa, with Kvyat taking the toro rosso seat?
Kvyat in my eyes is a very strong driver, but he isnt so impressive that he should get the nod ahead of a bunch of other drivers. All these driver programs really makes it impossible for a few drivers getting even the sniff of a drive. That Kvyat and Sirotkin will be in F1 next year instead of a guy like Robin Frijns is beyond belief. And at the level Kvyat is at right now, there is easily a handful of drivers as impressive or even more impressive than him. But Im totally aware of why it is like it is, but it still irks me.

I want to see Massa leave just for more open seats. We know what Massa is and he's obviously on the decline. I'm more interested in the youngblood coming up.
I actually kinda like India, although I am really looking forward to Abu Dabi. Mainly I'm just looking forward to races not being at 4am.

So.....how about the new 4th time F1 World Champion?! Even though I believe he's in a cheater car this season, I still highly respect him for being such a humble guy and praising his car/team. Start meme's.......................NOW! lol

Massa to williams is kinda meh..
But Magnussen to McLaren is really exciting. Good for him coming into a year which is just a transitional one too until they get honda power.

Not really surprised. Actually almost glad he stopped racing for Lotus. He's the kind of guy where you give him a contract, put him in a car, and he does his job. I thought it was pretty unprofessional for Lotus to be treating him how they have been the last few races AND not pay him AND do all of this while he still gets in the car willingly for free even though it doesn't matter as far as this year goes for him. So good for him that he pulled out to get the surgery out of the way and be ready for next season with Ferrari.

I agree 100%. Taking advantage of good peoples like kimi will only lead to bad karma down the road.

Kimi is like the real life Stig. Pretty much useless when it comes to everything else but is amazing in the car. I really think Alonso is on the outs at Ferrari next year. The last half of this season he's been almost out paced by Massa. He has the perception of being an amazing driver with a sub par car, but now it's just sub par all around. Maybe we can get a wet race in Brazil to see if he's still got it. Or maybe Ferrari is dumping all their eggs into the 2014 basket now.
The thought that occurs to me is Lotus if they can land Hulkenberg has probably the strongest young driver lineup of anyone. Grossean has really come into his own the last half of the year. Even if he and Kimi aren't pals he does have access to his race strat after the race and all the details of why Kimi's racecraft is so good. That's been Roman's biggest hurdle is racecraft not speed. And Hulkenberg is driving the wheels off that Sauber. I'm just afraid that next year Lotus may not be able to stay with the big boys as far as development goes. I think Mclearn flips luck with them, and maybe a flip flop between the Mercs and Ferrari.

Lol, he'll be total crap. But he's on the out anyways so he has nothing to lose. A few drivers would do a half-decent job in that position (coming in, totally unprepared and havent raced these tires) and among those we find Schumacher/Kamui/Hulk/petrov/Heidfeld/Alguersuari(Pirelli test driver, and there is another one too). But Schumacher did say no so I guess they had to get someone as quickly as possible. KK is a ferrari driver so that's a no. No deal could be reached with Hulk. Im pretty sure it will be more like when Fisi switched to Ferrari or something similar. Petrov has more recent experience and has raced Cota. Heidfeld knows the team and has raced cota too. Still top level driver, just below the best.
Alex rossi would be fun too see, if nothing other than an american in f1 at cota.
I also reckon robin frijns would be a good try. He's shown pretty good adaptability these last few years jumping between categories so he could maybe do a good job.
An unknown car, on unknown tires with a few days of preparing.. Yeah, that's the way to do it. Even Bruno Senna is a good a choice, but he's occupied too.
Or the epicness. Let Nic Prost have a shootout with Bruno Senna over the seat on friday.. Headlines anyone lol?

Regarding new rules..
Cost cap from 2015- good in principle, but doubt it'll will work. Might go down to what Ferrari spend so neither Merc or RB out-spend Ferrari.
Permanent numbers- Wont make a big difference if they arent visible, which they arent on the current cars/design/livery. But yeah, I have nothing against it.
Double points for the final race- HOW INCREDIBLY STUPID!!!
