So I presume like myself. We all can do better than the current F1 bosses...
Those that like F1 management games have most certainly played Grand Prix manager 2 & Granx Prix World 10-15 years ago (i'm getting old)
While I've played GPM2 for many hours it became too boring after so many replays.
Grand prix world became too much of a hassle and too old now (doesnt run that great on anything other then WinXP)
although it is being updated for 2016 season: www.gpracegames.com/
They are now finally being followed up by a game that could be a next stepping stone.
Released this thursday 10/11 and there's a small discount if you buy it before that. (I allready did)
Its made by SEGA that have plenty of experience with manager games (Football Manager anyone?)
So even if this first version is not that great, it does look to have a lot of options & replay ability. (but sadly, no official team or driver names)
3 different leagues (F1, GP2 GP3 or similar) with what looks like a high chance for mods to make plenty of changes
And while some things still need balancing like the racing itself. It has a lot of potential.
Since monday 7/11 the press copies have been activated so there's some playthrough's on there right now.
The playthrough themselves are not all that great though, with silly dicisions from time to time that I would have done better (Vote Sven for F1 Team boss!)
