Time for my annual look ahead and plan for next year. I think there's a few more doubts about some of the details and series we'll run in so if anyone's got suggestions / ideas / thoughts I'm happy to hear them.
But, here's the plan as far as I see it at this stage:
iRacing events
Apart from the 1st couple of events, a full schedule hasn't been announced yet but I suspect it will be similar to this year, with Le Mans being at the right time (which is a nightmare for me because June is going to be a seriously busy month - among other things, I qualify for a free bus pass in the UK so might be having a few parties to celebrate that )
So, for sure we'll run all the endurance events in a big team effort again and I guess there'll also be some participation in the one-offs like the Indy 500.
GOT
Obviously we'll continue this season and I'm sure we'll run in the next season at the end of the year as well. I guess at some point we should take the plunge and run in NEO as well (or instead) but we'll have that conversation later in the year.
DGFX
We'll continue with this, Marc Torres is already starting the planning for it.
BES
In Season 1, 2 & 3 we'll run this as before. I'd like it to be a bit more structured than we've had in the past - certainly in would be good to have some regular partnerships and cars entered. We need to get a thread going on this asap. Any volunteers?
iRacing VLN Series
I guess this will continue and we should put a proper effort into it. I suspect that after getting stitched up (again) by the Australia community, iRacing will only run 1 time slot next year so it's going to be the middle of the night for some of us.. Assuming they run the same cars again, I'm happy to run the Kia or GT3.
... and as far as firm plans are concerned, that's about it. The big hole is an endurance series in the Australia time zone but we're already discussing a couple of possibilities. ERC has died completely so apart from GOT we haven't got a regular Europe based series but most of the European guys can race DGFX anyway and there's plenty of 1 one-off events in Europe if we need to fill up the schedule.
I'll start working on an updated calendar once iRacing announce the dates for the endurance special events.
