BAM Teammates, After much thought, I have made an extremely tough decision to resign from Black Adder. I will post my email to John in hopes it may answer any questions. You all will be missed. Doug John, It is with a saddened heart that I'm sending this letter of resignation from Black Adder Motorsport. I feel that for my current stage of growth that I am a hindrance to BAM Teammates and the growth of the team. Although BAM is primarily a road racing organization, the oval side is well respected and led by a small group of very knowledgeable guys. I feel as though someone as ignorant as me as far as set building, race strategy etc is more just weight to pull rather than a driving force for the team. In short - I'm dependent upon others while being useless in return. I don't feel it is fair to make the senior guys carry me and my weight. I feel that joining a primarily oval based team will have a broader spectrum of knowledge thus allowing me to find some mentors closer to my level of knowledge and work my way up, becoming more independent. I have nothing but love for the guys at BAM and will deeply miss all of the European forms of swearing in TS but I think this will help me grow as well as "trim some fat" from Black Adder. You all will be missed and I look forward to seeing everyone around on the track. Sincerely, Doug

No BAM member is a hindrance Doug so I'm sorry that u feel that way. Its sounds like you have put a lot of thought into your decision to leave but I do hope it's not just because you feel that you are "fat to trim" as u put it. If your decision is 100% set in stone than I will wish all the best for your future iRacing endeavors.

Doug, that's too bad. I just joined BAM also, particularly for the Oval side. I have no issue with working with anyone, experienced or not. I could help you get better at driving and set building any time. My main focus is on the 24 hr Daytona event this weekend but after that I intend to concentrate on the Oval side of things. You are leaving a week too early. Take care

Doug, As a new member and someone who is FAR from the level of most of the other team I can honestly say they have never made me feel like a hindrance. My questions have always been answered. Advice given and heard. I do feel sometimes I am not worthy of being on the team right now but I also look at it as a chance to learn and grow. And what better way than alongside the guys who helped me get better. Hopefully you think about it just a bit more. If not, good luck! Hopefully I will see you on the track at some point.
