Nice. Damper kit too. Wonder how much they'll go for Vs a new set. Even if I could afford them shipping would be expensive. LOL I see the same guy is also selling the Fanatec Wheel Base V2.

Good friend in iRacing can vouch for the seller as he know him. So the pedals should be really more than OK.

The long expected Kickstarter campaign of PiMax with their 8k VR did start: (Technically it is not an 8K, but it would be a double 4K. True 8K would be 4x a 4K when I am correct.) Link: The Youtube "Tested" team had the chance to talk to them, very interesting. I could not help myself so I am a backer of the 8k version, as far as I can gather it uses a Display Port connection for a 4K 90hz image that is then upscaled to 8k in the headset. They have an 8k x version that have 2 display port cables and needs to be feed a 2x4k signal. The 8k x version is just stupid with today’s hardware, no one can run it. Hope this will become a great replacement for my Oculus CV1

hell yea. I am not backer due to two reasons: Pimax did not clearly stated weight in grams of current models (not counting eggs) with direction / promise if that number will be bigger Pimax did not shared material used for face cushions - anything else than leather is no go due to sweat issue. Expecting you to answer me these once you have unit

Expecting you to answer me these once you have unit I will give a review when I get it, the weight shown is lower that the Vive so a guesstimate would put it between a oculus and a Vive. The cushion part does not worry me as I’m not using the original part of the oculus. There are 3 party manufactures that does that much better. And if it reaches 1,5 we will get a fan 👍

Somebody in the German forum is selling his 80/20 aluminium for around EUR 850.-. It is the Track-Time Premium Rig version. Pretty sure that price negotiation would be possible, as i did exactly bought the same 80/20 from the same guy for around EUR 600.- a few months ago. Only the rig is available for selling, all the other stuff were sold already seperatelly. Link thread: forum.virtualracing.org/showthread.php/105838-Track-Time-Premium-Rig-Tripple-Screen

And if it reaches 1,5 we will get a fan 👍 So here are points: 1. Weight of current version is 517grams approx - seen in one review 2. Cushion is a pure shit - sponge same as on HTC. Was visible posibility to remove and that mean replace forehead cushion. Face cushion I have not seen to have possibility to replace 3. FOV - 200 deg is amazing but it's not resolved at all Current version is only stretching edges - reviewer mark it as watching 4:3 movie on 16:9 TV depends how fast iRacing will be with adaption of field of view to new dimension. I hope it will not take them one year. Lubomir Moric looping you cos you are also tempted. I really hope they will address these points prior release consumer version

Just a quick reminder, that the 80/20 aluminum rig (pictures see the rig above) is still available the price is negotiable. This is not a 40x40 aluminum parts but mostly 60x40 or 80x80 from the high quality alu company SMT Germany (not Motedis). The pure material costs are around EUR 995.- and I guess the rig would be available for around EUR 600.-.
So if you live in Germany (or in a nearby country), this might a really good option.

Using now the Simvibe since 3 days. It was a kind hassle until every worked as designed with the amplifier and the connection to my computer but it worked eventually very nice now. Using the chassis mode with 4x shakers (2x at pedals, 2x side of my seat). Driving at first I thought - wow this is very cool - but all is just about the immersion. But I did not think that this might help me to be a better driver in the long run. After only two day now driving with the Simvibe it changed that perspective. You feel all the curbs and how you hit them. More important you feel the car when you lose it in real time because vibrations are slighlty changing. With the Direct Drive you get already a lot of feedback from your wheel, but with the Simvibe it really puts this on the next level. Did try to do a practice without the Simvibe yesterday, and it felt totally unreal like iRacing sound was broken. The car felt really empty and shallow, I was totally shocked that this happened! About the vibrations. I do have a 80/20 aluminum rig, which would massively oscillation through the floor with the Simvibe. But I use those industrial machine dampers, which reduces the vibration outside the rig I assume over 95%. What I hear now are only the acoustic noise of the shakers, but there is no vibration/noise outside the room if the door is closed. I will upload soon a short video about the Simvibe/Shaker and those industrial damping feets (see picture), so that you see and hear the noise level.

Don't know that product, but the price for the button box seems more than fair. About the LCD screen ->"Monza 3.5" touchscreen module". An less costly alternative might be to use your smart phone and the Joel Real Timing software on your computer. You can mount your phone with some dual lock tape as alternative. I just used it with a separate phone case with the dual lock tape on it.

Looks like this is the new prototype of Precision Sim Engineering GP1-Wheel (Simon Hodgson posted it in iRacing forum). The price is not officially and you can't buy this wheel, but might be insane - maybe around 2k > 3k USD. www.flickr.com/photos/89928288@N08/
