I don't really see that there is anything wrong with the way we do things now. TS works very well imo. The forum and PM system works well. So we allready have good ways to communicate in text and in voice. Discord is also good at doing both. It doesn't have a forum function so it won't replace the forum. It could replace the PM system we use in the forum. It could replace TS. It won't really add any new features and we don't have any issues with the system we use nowadays. The only thing that could be a real benefit is cost saving. So my opninion. It's nice but not nessasary since our current system works very well. Unless we want to look for cost saving.. There's no cost saving - thanks to Mike and his connections, our new 150 user TS server is free,

^ that settles it for me personally. I don't see a good reason for migrating 100 people over to a voice platform with known issues. It's a bit nicer to use, sure, but TS has never let us down has it? Is there a feature that we absolutely need in Discord? Maybe bring it up again in 3 months, there's loads of other crap to do right now

I'm happy with Teamspeak. I've only used Discord for DGFX and for that I barely use it.

Actually if depend on me, I would change our OVAL mesenger communication into discord, with devided chats of topic. It is verty difficult to understand discussion with hundrets of mesages with different topics after night. And how to add anything if already discussed a few topics more already...

When Team Speak is working fine, there is no pressure to migrate. Some will have technical issue with Discord other with Team Speak (e.g. I cant use the latest TS version, because my push-to-talk button doesn't work). But in my perception, never change a good running system, if there is no urgent need to that.
And big thanks to @mikesmith , as he is using his connection to produce a great and reliable quality of Team Speak - did not know that!

Thanks for the recognition Roman, but I can't take credit for the hosting of the server as that is not me but a friend of mine

Discord: Like: I really like the "IM" style text feature, very useful for having discussions with everyone including those not at their rig with mobile device meaning when a discussion is started everyone should be able to get involved unless they are asleep. It is more reliable than TS (especially when using a private hosted TS server)
Dislike: I don't like the keybinding on this. The first time I used Discord my pit limiter activated deafen function meaning I could no longer hear my team. I am aware there is third party software that will fix this, but it is not something I want to do. I am not sold on how the permissions setup works on Discord, I feel TS is much easier and more detailed allowing better customization of permissions. I also don't like how the channels are listed, IF we were to switch, we would require a lot of both text and voice channels and this would make the list of channels difficult to navigate.
TeamSpeak: Like: Much prefer the keybinding over Discord. Ability to customize the permissions (and layout if wanted) and restrict specific areas is endless (if you know how) Not sure how many is aware of this, but you can set keys to "whisper" to specific people or channels weather you are in that channel or not (I think this will come useful to me specifically in the BES road to pro) The TS viewer here on the forums (not sure if this can or can't be done with Discord).
Dislike: I can't actually think of anything to put here except cost, but that is not an issue for us.
Overall: I see absolutely no reason to stop using TeamSpeak and although I do like the "IM" of Discord I don't really see any big advantages of it over the forums we have here other than notifications direct to mobile users.

i found voice in discord horrible compared to ts, however for instant chatting to a broader audience when ts is not an option then discord is perfect, i use it to chat in the oval section abit, especially when the stockcars were at martinsville, learnt alot from videos Bronislav was sending me

Team Speak and Discord have really excellent voice quality. I would say that Team Speak is a tick more voice reliable than Discord, because its less complexity. And you can tweak the TS server to get even better voice quality. Discord has an easy and nice chat function, which can be used comfortable from your mobile phone when you are on the way to say quick "Hello" or linking some funny videos. The chatting feature of the forum is not working properly on my mobile phone at least for me. What I miss from both is a working overlay for iRacing, to see who joined or who is currently speaking. Did not see that the TS Overwolf nor the Discord overlay which are working fine with most other games, except the iRacing setup for me. I found on TS that my notifications setting was reset on last update I turned it back on and overlay notifications are working properly again!!

I find Discord uses way more resources on the PC Hi, is here any study behind this statement? Why I am asking cos I did this year ago and it resulted with 15% than TS. However USB ID problem is making me as no go with discord as Voice application. on top of that who are curious about resources - give it try via WEB Interface only as you do not need to have application installed on PC and yet use it

Teamspeak might be somewhat old school but man that stuff just works. It's super easy to join/manage servers and rarely has let us down.
Discord I'm just not convinced, some games it works good (PUBG) and it's nice that it's free but the UI is a hassle, I hate navigating it and it's just awkward in my opinion. What really killed it for me though were the issues we had with it when we tried to use it for Le Mans that year and it caused some really bad stutters. There was also a button binding issue if I remember right.
