Damn Mark, that's really cool! Thanks Patrik Runald. It's the best looking Falcon Ford have made in the past 40 years or so, there last great looking Falcon was in 1970-71 with the GTHO.

Wooo nice falcon Mark! Is that the turbo 6 or the V8? Thanks @mav. Its a 5.4 V8 which I have had heavily modified to give it 300rwkw (407HP @rear wheels). I also use it once or twice a year for drag racing when it's going lol I dont even know why I asked that.......what Aussie doesnt have a V8?! hahaha

Mark "WiFI" Dyall probably won't like this... but Currently I drive an 08 Subaru WRX, previous cars include a HSV engine optioned VP Commodore SS and an Australian delivered s15 200sx. I'm actually toying with the idea of buying an s15 again to have as a second car for track days. A mate down the street has an R33 skyine GTS-t which he competes in the Victorian super sprint champsionship with. Its 6 rounds a year between Philip Island and Sandown raceway in Melbourne. Basically you just go out and turn timed laps in your class. I've floated the idea with the Mrs who is says no at the moment, but I can be pretty determined. I'll try and go down to Philip Island at the end of June with my mate to check it out properly. Anyway we'll see what happens.

(puke) lol. I would love to do a track day sounds like a lot of fun. My car can be set up for it as I have had all the adjustable shocks and springs fitted all I would need is a pair of front racing wheels.

12.79 @ 108mph. The timing board at this track never works right. That was my first run for the night the next run was when I ripped out the $2200 clutch

I wish I could say that for it now. Today I looked into what's wrong with it now and I was sure it was a timing chain problem but after taking the rocker covers off I'm not so sure that's what it is

I wish I could say that for it now. Today I looked into what's wrong with it now and I was sure it was a timing chain problem but after taking the rocker covers off I'm not so sure that's what it is I don't have a whole lot of hands-on experience with the Ford Modular engines, much less the ones across the pond Is this the engine that came in the Falcon under the designation Boss 260/290? Would be helpful as I have a lot more information on the North American 5.4L 4V. It's a great powerplant, lots of options there. Especially for an overhead-cam motor, timing belt troubles are usually pretty easy to diagnose (Either it broke or wasn't timed right lol). How is it acting up right now? And what did you find when you pulled the rocker covers? My brother is almost finished with the recreation of my old Camaro (took the drivetrain and useful parts out of my old Camaro and put it in a clean, fresh chassis with a new, beefier block and bottom end), built to run a little more boost in street trim and a lot more boost at the track. With the forged internals and the new cam, I'm pretty sure he can squeak 20ish psi out of the Vortec. In street trim we're hoping it will see around 540 at the wheel, and at 20psi with methanol injection it should be able to hit 650. Nasty, nasty street car haha. -Travis

I'm sure the timing was right as I was driving it when I notice that I couldn't keep up with the GF's Boss 290. My engine has been blueprinted, bigger cams, head and black both decked and flat top pistons added along with better oil pump gears and it's also running 11:1 compression ratio. The only thing I think left to do is to port and polish the heads and a new exhaust system When I open the rocker cover I found the chains were still tight and seem to be intact. I'm beginning to think the guides and tensioners are stuffed. The last time I drove it (probably shouldn't have with the noises that it was making but was only a few minutes from home) was making bad knocking noise. I'm close to getting the timing cover off but now that I have to move house I'll have to wait until I recover the $$$ lost from moving.

With all of the work done to it, who tuned the car? Do you have a wide-band 02 hooked up yet?

My toys from my younger days: 1. Cutting horse 2. Roping horse 3. 67 Chevelle SS 4. 87 MR2, upgrades out the wazoo. Turbo, short shift mod, adjustable suspension, roll cage and racing seats. Was a hoot and one of my all time favorite cars. Second only to: 5. 97 Mercedes SL600 AMG. Son of a bitch could pass everything but a gas station. Twin turbo 6.0 V12....you could hear the gas pumps calling every time you hit half throttle. 6. 99 Honda CBR 900RR...had to get rid of that or die. 7. 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 with the V12. I swear, 8 mpg whether you were piddling around town barely touching the throttle or barreling down the highway at 85 pulling 14,000 lbs. And the damn thing thought the world was flat. 8. My current is an 05 MR2 Spyder with the 6 speed sequential. I'm gonna spend waaaaaaasssssaaaaaaaay too much money on this car. I bought it for $7,000. Put a full TRD racing suspension under it for $3,500. Widebody kit and aero package is next, $3,000. Then motor, I'm figuring another $10,000 roughly. 9. But my favorite toy of all time? That would be my current wife of 16 years because she let's me spend all my time on iRacing and a good portion of our money on my car.
