So, did anyone catch the last race? Incredible that Marquez cut off Pedrosas TC-cable in that corner. It also resulted in one motherfucking big crash. It's lucky that the guys behind were a few seconds off so they didnt hit him and that he didnt slide into marquez path.
But man, is Marquez impressive. He was fun watching in moto2 but his riding in MotoGP is fucking incredible.

I try and watch as many races as I can from Moto2 on FOX (IIRC it was on speed but that is now Fox Sports 1? I don't watch much TV cause our cable is le shitz), and MotoGP when I get a chance. Mostly I watch World Superbike as much as I can from YouTube.
Motorcycle racing is a version of auto racing that really emphasizes the driver/rider skill and abilities more than anything IMO. I think it's important for anyone wanting to hone a skill to immerse themselves in the most difficult application and execution of the skill. So for me, learning racecraft means watching people who know exactly how the f**k to execute the most advance ideas of racecraft like it's a Sunday stroll for them. "Spec" car racing, and the high echelons of the ballsiest forms of motorsport are where you'll find the guys who know how to do that AND push their own race pace to the "If I go any faster, I will most definitely die" line and beyond without injury. For me, Valentino Rossi is one of those guys. He's made some of the ballsiest, incredibly premeditated executions of exceptional racecraft than anyone I've ever seen. While sometimes he may go beyond what the fellow riders on track think is acceptable, he knows right where the line is, and balances on it just about every race, especially when he was in his prime. Less so now, but you still see it from him on his better days, which is incredible since MotoGP is much like Formula 1 in that the "stars" aren't usually around more than 5-6 years, and he's won that many CHAMPIONSHIPS.
I see a weird mix of Simoncelli and Lorenzo in Marquez. He's fun to watch, because he has the raw talent mixed with the irrational lack of self-preservation reminiscent of Simoncelli.

Yeah, I can't agree with you more. Racing pure-breed racing bikes takes balls. Big one's. And the way they makes me shit my pants just watching it. FUCKING JUMBO SIZED COJONES!
Yeah, Rossi is probably the most exciting rider to ever grace this world and will be for some time. I personally lost more and more interest during the Ducati days as he has become slower and slower and it's a sad sight (he still has great pace and in the wheel-to-wheel battles he's still second to none). The guy that would've replaced him and meant I almost stopped watching MotoGP was Simoncelli. Seeing his raw riding and total balls-to-the-wall spirit made him the best rider to watch. By far. And it's what caused his sad passing. But yeah, I agree that Marquez is of that same kind. It's what's made me watch all races and qualy's (and even the practice sessions) this year. He is just pure joy to watch. I think he's a bit different to Lorenzo thou, but I might see what you mean about it. I just see Lorenze as the robot, probably the best robot racer ever and I've actually seemed to see a change in his riding, trying to mimic Marquez much rougher riding style. Marquez still has to develop the consistency of his riding, but when he reaches Lorenzo's level in that regard he will be unbeatable.
I also think it's funny how Stoner seems so butt-hurt about Marquez not crashing in his rookie year. It must be hard seeing a rookie coming in and making no one miss Stoner the least lol.

Casey Stoner is a silly little man.
Yeah, you hit on the similarity I was implying haha. He doesn't have Lorenzo's freakishly good consistency. He is just as much of a machine as the bike he rides.
I didn't really follow MotoGP while Rossi was at Ducati, and I haven't been following it or bike racing in general as much as I would like. Maybe over the winter I'll catch up on Superbike.

Even if anyone isnt interested at all in motogp, they should watch it this weekend.
Last race of the season.
Newcomer Marc Marques is 13 points ahead of reining champion Jorge Lorenzo. Lorenzo have won the last few races and with MM93 being disqualified three races ago, Lorenzo have gained over 40 points the last few races. Will the nerves of MM93 hold up or will he crumble. All we know is that one will have to stop calling himself reigning world champion. Will it be the beginning of a period known as the complete dominance of MM93, or the great battle between the spaniards, or will Lorenzo overcome it all and continue to dominate to make sure his name becomes one of the GOATs?

Lol, I loved how rossi was all like "the worlds fastest seagull" in his silly italian voice lol. Lorenzo cant have noticed it thou, lr orherwise he wouldnt have kept driving since it was only qualy. That bird couldve jammed the brakes or something else.
