*Eargasm*
Also, anyone seen Chris Harris try out the F40 and F50? It's the best motoring clip. EVER. EVER. EVER. MADE.

We need to make a sticky called "Better Than Four Monsters and Labatt" for videos like these. Make R&T's look like clips from QVC. And obviously a lot of R&T links will be posted.

I put that on screen three while I finish the Vehicle Dynamics write-up over in the Racer's Bible haha. It's always good to have a little motivation while you work.

You're welcome. Unfortunately it didn't help motivate me to do research for my Engineering Design Process project. And this forum isn't helping me be productive either. Thanks

Oh you're welcome. You just don't know it yet.
Although I feel like I have the advantage in that the things I'll be working on in the next few weeks have something to do with what I have playing in the background, so with a GT40 playing the tunnel concerto in the background I tend to increase racin' stuffs output by about 328.4% on average. Under the same situation with you having to solve for X, Y, and the determinate of a matrix composed mostly of egyptian hieroglyphs, I'd assume your work output would probably plummet considerably.

Bahahaha. You might as well just torch your hopes of completing anything other than a massive hard on for the next six minutes.

While the V8's are very nice, the V10's simply rapes your ears.

I'm sad to see the V8's go at the end of the season. It will be interesting to hear the twin turbo 6's, I assume they will probably sound a lot like IndyCar, but at a much angrier RPM (Indy IIRC runs 12,000rpm from a 2.2L turbo or twin-turbo V6 as opposed to the 2014 F1's twin-turbo 1.6L V6). Most of the new funny business can be found here. What I'm interested is this. They've done V10's. Now they have V8's. Next year it's V6s. I'm curious to see how those go, but am dreading the future, as the current progression means we'll see 4 cylinders in a few year's time. ... Then again... after that comes V-twins... Ducati F1 team to fight the Prancing Horse??? -Travis

I'll be the lead engineer/principle/top driver for the Ducati F1 team.
Or we could just all chip in and buy one of these:
because [V12] racecar.

(V12=V10) > V8 > V6 I'm reallllly not looking forward to the turbo V6s after having decades of high pitched, high rpm, high tech goodness ringing in my ears.

I wish I was around for the first V6 turbo era, cuz those cars were insane. Found these old vids on youtube, if you've got two spare hours to nerd-out about Formula 1 these videos are for you.

I guess you guys have all seen chris harris drive the 918? He's always good to watch and listen too, but in this clip I just want him to shut up. IWANTTOHEARTHEENGINE!!!!!!
Nah, but seriously.. I feel kinda depressed knowing I'll never drive that car. No matter what. If I dont win the lottery that is. But oh well, one can dream right?
Talking about the 918, you guys seen the rumours about the P1's lap time around nordschleife? Some say they wont release the figure because the only got under 7 minutes but didnt beat the 918. But I much more believe the other figures thrown around, which I've seen to be 6.45-ish on the tire that comes on the car and then a sub 6.30 with slicks. If it have done those times it's completely insane. But I do believe those times and that McLaren are just waiting for Ferrari to put LaFerrari on the nordschleife and let them present their time first. And I guess they'll be tinkering more with the car up until the summer and then going for an even better laptime.
On the other hand, some suggest the best laptime is a collection of the best sector times and the car cant deliver full power a complete lap and that's why they wont give out a number yet. Who knows? It will be impressive no matter what.
As is the Nismo GT-R lol. I really dont believe it can do 2 seconds from 0-60. Not with that weight and those power figures. There is just no way. Unless it's a "press-this-button-to-go-really-fucking-holy-crap-fast-and-your-warranty-is-void"..

lol Chris Harris is only one of the few who balance the engine note with his voice so you can hear both at the sametime My guess about the P1 is Mclaren is purposely building up the suspense and waiting for ferrari to release numbers so they can make sure they can best those numbers too If the Nismo GT-R is running a 7:06 or whatever it is......there's no way a P1 cant at least match the 918s time. It has way more power and aero! Where'd you see that the Nismo GT-R was doing 2.0 sec 0-60s? Each year since '08, the next model dropped .2 secs off its 0-60 time. So last years GT-R with the track pack did 2.7, so i'd expect the Nismo to do at least 2.5. 2.0 would be a huge jump lol

Rumours around the whole of internetz. Actually quite many. I dont believe it, as it would quite literally defy the laws of physics. Im unsure of the main source but I can look it up.
