It usually doesnt go long between losses of racers in our world and I dont know about you guys, but I think it can be very very sad days. I know I lived under the impression that race car drivers are superhuman for a large part of my childhood. Still, in some ways they are. I think this is one of the worst years in a long time and yesterday Sean Edwards was killed when the car he was in crashed heavily into a tire barrier and then burst into flames. It's so sad that we lose great people. To see one of the guys who was very early to embrace sim racing as a means to improve himself, makes it a even sadder.
RIP Sean Edwards

Yes. He didn't run official series or anything, but he was a proud iRacing member and was frequently online.
He will be missed, great driver. I'd like to know more about why this happened and what caused the car to burst into flame.

Yeah, as Travis said, iRacing was one of the sims he used. Being a factory driver and early adopter he was also using different teams sims (what I would do to test those things lol). Surprised you didnt know of him, considering he was one of the top 5 Porsche drivers in the world. He had a very promising future with being so young.
But yeah, it's kinda weird the car caught fire by hitting a tire wall. Such a stupid dumbass that must've been driving the car and so sad Sean had to be in the car.
