The quality is no problem. But what could be a problem some times is the actual mirror it self on some cars. Some cars mirrors as very small and in a bad spot.

Where are you guys putting the Relative box onscreen in the Rift? Have you made it smaller or bigger than default? How about the virtual mirror, using it?
Got my rift yesterday. Trippy as hell to drive with it. I'll be slower at first but it's so much fun. Thing I'm finding is as the car moves (going over bumps etc) the Relative box stays static and it can be a bit distracting to the eye. Also switching between cars the Relative box may end up in odd places if the car interiors are very different.
Also going to be hard on me to spot in the Rift. Most of the camera angles get me a bit whoozy with the caemra movements.

First thing i did was removing the head wobbling. Makes it easier to see whats happening to the car and everything stays in place. I have my "real" wheel perfectly matched the in game wheel so feels kind of weird when it moves up and down The relative box is on my middle dash in the car (can post a picture later). It works out pretty good on different cars but i always ends up readjusting it when i'm changing car. But i don't use it that much, open and closes it with voice attack when i have time to watch it. Don't lite having stuff around me, i get easily distracted or starts focusing to much on that and not the driving

As said already, the mirrors are fine for resolution, its just more difficult to spot things vs using the virtual mirror. But i'm getting more and more used to it with time. I actually turned off the virtual mirror last night (hopefully for good)...ideally I'd like to only use mirrors. It makes it much more immersive that way which makes me faster.
My realtive box currently sits very high up. I have the same problem that i will get distracted if i have anything in my normal field of view so i try to keep those things tucked away so that i have to turn my head to see them.
Mattias, how did you remove head wobbling? Is there an option to stop screen shake?

I've tried putting a fan blowing on my face but I'm still getting fog on my lenses after using for a while. Anyone have any ways around this?

Taken from iRacing forum. Other great tips there in this thread members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3489433.pageFor some reason i have never had any fog problem, but i have also always used a big fan next to me because of the extreme heat so that could be why.

Good info boys.
I know we are spread around the globe but man if we can do it we REALLY need to plan a BlazeRush BAM race night. Just tried it online and it's some of the most fun I've had in gaming. Tons of laughs. Getting on teamspeak while we race would be fun for sure.

did another bss race tonight in the rift with no virtual mirror. I'm def enjoying this more. For sure there are blind spots but i'm starting to think more about car placement (mine and other cars around me) than i do with the virtual mirror on which is giving me a better semse of car control too. There is nothing better than being on someone's ass through fast turns.
Is there a way to share replay files so you can watch on your rifts? You guys have to see the first few laps of my very first gt3 race using oculus. It was amazing to drive. If you watch it from the cockpit view you will know why I couldn't stop smiling for an hour after that race.

I havnt tried it yet because i always forget about it 12.SOUND POSITIONING VIA John Erich. 'I know it helped with my monitors, but this is probably even more helpful for VR users with our more limited FOV. I adjust the stereoStreamInSurroundBalance in the app.ini. (default path libraries\documents\iracing\appi.ini) I believe this adjusts how loud your engine is in comparison to external sounds, ie: other cars on track or brake squeal. I think default is 100 (I have mine lowered to 50). Having your opponent's car a little louder should help with positional awareness.Something i really enjoy with the rift is multi class racing. Passing and getting passed is way more fun now. And wish i was better in open wheeler because the sensation of speed is insane in the open wheeler's, also loves convertibles in AC like the Shelby. The Shelby on the nurburgring is amazing!

Mattias might know more about this Marc but I think you can rig OBS Studio to record the iRacing window that is showing your view. It's not the same as seeing what we see in 3d but is close. I've been doing some practise laps to get used to the Rift driving. Last night it was the Stang @ Monza Junior. You are right, passing cars or even being near them is something crazy. I have a fan blowing on me from my back left and it really makes you feel like you are in the car. I had a close call hitting a car and in the Rift it feels way crazier than just watching a close call on the monitors. Also been playing with blackbox placement etc. I know have it up in the top left corner right below the virtual mirror. Much better up there instead of trying to get it in the car dashboard area. Working towards getting rid of the virtual mirror but it's going to take some time for sure Ended the night ripping some laps in Project cars online with a friend that has a Rift + 14 AI cars. Man what a blast. Try Watkins Glen @ night.

Marc, I'm not sure if I understand you question but if you just wanna share the replay you could just upload it and those who have a rift can then download it and start the replay.
But if you what to make a replay of what you acutely looked at though the rift then you need to record it with OBS. There is a shader you could download that tweaks the input view from the rift to OBS
