So like I've posted earlier in the shout box I updated a bunch of things including to Windows 10. I'm now for the last two days trying to get my graphics back to normal in iR. It made me auto-configure my graphics and set the car quality to Low and everything else to off. Before the update I ran with 85% of the graphic options either on full or medium. When I try to set it myself to what I had before I'm getting about 40Fps and its so laggy and choppy it's impossible to do anything. I used to cap it at 90 before. I'm seriously lost and frustrated . Any help will be much appreciated.

i dont really read shoutbox =(
First : What are your pc specs ?
Second : are you also running software like msi afterburner ? <- to see the CPU or GPU bottleneck (i.e. with 40 FPS wich one gets to 100%)

Sounds strange. When you updated windows, did you just updated it from your previous windows or dI'd you do I clean install?
I had some weird problems when my other computer updated to win 10 from win 8. Lots of driver that got messed up in the process.

Im on a laptop but that shouldnt be an issue since its a gaming laptop and paid up the ass for it lol.
And its been popping up for months and months that I could do a free upgrade to Windows 10 and I finally gave in when it popped up at the right time. I went from Windows 8 to Windows 10

A good start if you already haven't done it is to uninstall the graphics drivers and then reinstall them. There is a good program witch let you do a clean install of your drivers, can't remember the name it but can look it up later (at work atm).
Copy your iRacing folder in your documents and make iRacing create a new one.
Open up task manager and check the performance tab while running iRacing and see if anything stands out.
Reinstalling iRacing?
In the end if you can't find a solution I recommend doing a clean install of win 10, it's easy and can be done from in windows. It will wipe everything but i always like to start from the beginning and get everything going right from start.

wait... it looks like the same problem that Joe Kirsch described a few days ago...
then he noticed, that iracing uses the internal intel graphics card that is to weak for the sim... then he switched off the intel card and iracing is now running with the GTX8xxM GPU...
It's worth a look at your device manager

It's worth a look at your device manager In case, iRacing is using the internal graphic card instead the nVidia-card for example. take a look at h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Displa...d-use-nvidia-card/td-p/4986300Here you can see, how to change the graphic card. I've done it yesterday and now iRacing runs absolutely smooth. For instance, I had around 70 FPS before and now I've got around 200 FPS and the graphics are awesome

Just Uninstall and reinstall. While you're installing it, there should be a step near the end of the process where you can click a box to not look for updates and don't update itself. Well, something like that.
