I have finally dug out my nitro rc car and truck. The car I bought more than 9 years ago have used it a few times but it's still not run in properly, when I got it out a few days ago I found I couldn't pull the starter as the engine wasn't cleaned out the last time I used it, so I have had to strip it down clean and rebuild it. I have been searching the net for who made this model but haven't found anything on it so it looks like I'll have to take it in to a hobby shop in the city to see if I can get some info on it as I'm really wanting to use it but if I brake anything on it I wont know what to ask for.
As for the Truck I have learnt that I have payed waaaaaaaay to much for this thing lol. About 6 or 7 years ago I seen a magazine in a shop with build this nitro truck, silly me thought what a great idea lol, at the time it was sort of a good idea as I thought this would give me some knowledge of building these things and I did learn a lot but in the end it cost me about $900 which included everything. I have started this truck once and ran a tank of fuel through it and again that was the last time it was used and again without giving the engine a clean out. So I have to strip and rebuild the engine on this one too.
The engine without the exhaust on it is to the car and the other one for the truck.

Nice one Mark, huge amount of fun RC cars.
I've got in various states of repair.
Mugen MBX6r 1/8 Buggy (Nitro)
VBC Racing Wildfire D06 1/10 Touring Car (Stock Brushless)
Slash 2WD Short Course Truck, heavily modded with a custom chassis that I managed to bend while racing last year. (Mod Brushless)
TIC Racing Terminator 1/12 Oval racer (Brushless, runs off of 1s Lipos)
Will put some pics up later if you're interested.

Yeah they sound pretty cool. There both 4WD but the car uses 3 Kevlar belts to run both diffs but the truck runs both diffs via a 2 metal shafts . I don't expect the truck to take much abuse as most of the supports are plastic and I'm betting one good jump just might see those in few pieces but the car looks strong as an ox lol I have got electric starters for both and now I discover the front shockers need rebuilding on the car guess it has been sitting around way to long.

Mark "WiFI" Dyall dont know if you use it already but I fired up VRC Pro (RC Car simulator) for the first time in ages at the weekend. They've made some good improvements, multi car practise sessions is a new feature and really helpful. You can use your RC controller / receiver through the PC with an adapter. Really good practise tool. The base package on there is free to use for enough free cars and tracks to keep you amused at least.
