I'll post a pic up later. Is that circuit board etc the one off of Ebay ? (someone posted a link to it on the iRacing forum). Looks a lot easier to do than the USB game controller I butchered.

Yes thats right guys !
The box i ordered in the netherlands but the board and buttons come from hongkong and peking i believe (links are in that topic)
i drilled the holes and then all the wires are ready to connect no welding or anything just plug all the wires and ready !
I connected it to the pc and windows says its a joystick and gets the drivers and then ingame you choose wich button for wich function
Its about 22 euro in total and if i can do it then everybody can !!
Now i need to find someone with a label printer to put functions above the buttons

Thanks @jhonno This just might give me a project to do while I'm not racing for the next couple of months.

Thanks @jhonno This just might give me a project to do while I'm not racing for the next couple of months. You'll have to plug the wires in very slowly to make that last 2 months Mark. You'll have that finished in a day mate.

Ordered both the parts required. Estimated delivery time is end of December / early January. Will revisit this once the parts are here and I start with the box.

Just ordered the buttons today already have the board and the box. I'll be making a few different plates to sit over the buttons as I think a couple of the cars will be set up differently like the DW12.

Its easy but let me know when you have questions ! I've received the buttons. The USB Controller though is still in transit. I've seen that you've put in 12 buttons. Does the system recognise 20 buttons? I would rather put them all in if they will work. I can plan the grouping for the buttons and the face plate based on your answer.

If you've ordered the same controller board as in the original link Abhi then 12 is the maximum on that one.

On my button box, I have... let's see...
24 options on a 12-position rotary dial with Increase/Decrease wired in parallel. 12 options on a 12-position rotory for quick-pit and radio commands. 8 options for radio and spotter settings. 16 options for black box info and other settings.
So I guess my button box is 60 buttons lol. I also have 3 toggle switches that I haven't had the time to wire up or code yet. Decided that if I was going to take this button box apart I'd rewire it and put it in a new shell, and possibly upgrade the microcontroller so that I can take one of the 12-pos rotaries out and replace it with a custom H-pattern shifter and sequential slapstick. Knowing me, I'll probably just upgrade the microcontroller, leave the 12-pos rotory in and add the pathways for the shifters. And then mount the shifter as a bridged unit so I can plug the G27 shifter buttons onto something and use a custom shifter attached to MY box.
