Have acquired a car seat and will be building a frame to mount it and the G27 shifters. I am moving from a desk with the G27 clamped to it and pedals flat on the floor. Its my first build.
What are ideal angles for the arms and legs to be at? With respect to the wheel and pedals i.e.?
Last night in a GC session with, I think I broke the clamp on the G27. Now though its clamped to the desk, the back of the Wheel (where the wires come out) goes up and down. About 10-20 degrees of play. ( @richardbrazier - That's the reason I suddenly disappeared from the session)
I think mounting with screws is the only way around.

Mount it with screws Abhi thats better also !
I think you need to find a way to make the seat adjustable so you can try out different angles to drive with

Say goodbye to your nice desk, it will have holes in it from now on They way I have mine the rig mounts the wheel and pedals completely separate to the desk. The desk is purely there now for the screens. So no need to drill / cut the desk if you'd rather not. Abhi, what are you planning to make the rig from? If you can get hold of PVC water pipe and fittings easily and want to use that i'll get you a parts list and some measurements.

No, I definitely won't put holes in this work desk. @richardbrazier I plan to build it at a friend's workshop. Metal. I will know for sure tomorrow. But, if that does not work out or does not seem feasible, I will come for some PVC dimensions. This is an image from the iracing forums, since I have a car seat I will look into the angles and dimensions tomorrow when I am there. Plan to take the steering and pedals along and see if we can do something. Only thing is that he's free only post 5.p.m, so need to see how much further we can get.

This weekend's update.
Since I've disassembled the wheel and everything else, I had time this weekend to sit at a friend's factory and finish a draft design for both the Rig and Button Box.
Button Box progress is much further down, with us sitting on the Amada machine's software and putting in the design to be cut and bent by the laser machine, once his people are in on Monday. So, I should get that quicker. I think he will be getting it powder coated for now. I feel I should have the box running in the next couple of days on my machine.
The "rig" will take more time I think, but we have a draft plan in place. I'm trying to make everything adjustable: 1. the steering height 2. Reach 3. Angle of the pedal board 4. Strong wheels to the entire rig with locking, so that I can move it around for dusting etc.
That also makes it relatively easy to disassemble and move around.
