Hi guys, I'm thinking about setting up a triple screen setup. The problem is, I only have one HDMI-port on my laptop. Is it possible to set three screens up with a HDMI-splitter for instance and if yes, how and will there be any performance issues? Cheers in advance

With a MacBook... YES With a DOSBook... I doubt that the internal GPU can handle 3 monitors
how about an external GPU device?

We, I've got an Nvidia GPU installed on my laptop which is quite powerful. Don't you think, it could handle it?

I have a NVIDIA too in my MacBook but it's quite on the edge with my normal display resolution ... I wouldn't suffer my notebook with 3 displays... remember that these are "mobile" GPUs and they do not have the massive cooling devices that a 3-monitor setup needs...
Do you have the opportunity to try this kind of setup out before you buy it?

Hmm...I don't think so, but I just had another idea. My laptop screen is 15", so I could get two 15" monitors and use the laptop as one of the triple monitor setup. The picture would be quite small, I have to admit and I don't know, if this would work out. Currently I'm using a 32" single screen. My old TV basically

What GPU is in your laptop?
I have a triple monitor setup with 24" monitors. I was using a 780, but a couple months ago upgraded to a 1070.

I know that but you can get a general idea of how powerful it is. And that no longer applies to the new laptops that just came out with the 1000 series gpu's. Nvidia has dropped the "m" at the end as they are as powerful as their desktop equivalent.
