A few quick things Membership Info Christopher Emms is promoted to full membership I've made a change to the Provisional membership list. Recently we added an option for the provisional members to check off their progress on a google sheet. I've removed that option now - one of the main things we want to do during the provisional period is having interaction with the members and so automating the process makes that harder. So, Provisional members - please follow the old system of keeping Jake informed about progress. I've changed the checklist to reflect this. Up Coming Races No endurance race this weekend. Next weekend is both GoT Round 5 and ESCC Round 1. Recent Race Results We had great results for 2 cars in Round 1 of DGFX - #67 Porsche driven by Carl and Wade finished a great 3rd in class and #66 Mercedes driven by Mattias and Marc finished 5th in class. #67 had a difficult race after Jake got rammed by an HPD into T1 but they did hang in there and got to the finish. Team Management / Policies I've started a section in Racecraft to build up a knowledge-base about endurance race strategies. I've been meaning to do some write-ups on this for a while but haven't worke out a good approach until now. So, what I'm going to do is do an "Analysis" of strategies used in DGFX races (and maybe other series) and use that to explain the thought process etc the crew chief or drivers need to go through. Hopefully at some point I'll be able to bring these together into a coherent post about strategy. I've also created a new section in the member area specifically for information for new members. Jake and I will start populating this but if anyone has ideas on what to out there, just let us know. Other Stuff I haven't done any more work on the survey this week. I should make some progress next week.

This weekend a few of us are are going to long beach for: - some racing - scraping paint on walls (make sure Nenad doesnt see) - bump & run overtakes - getting run over By GT1 and/or HPD's - all of the above but it should provide a spectacle with 52 cars right now. that would be about 1 car every 1.5sec apart the entire way around the track. (or even less if you use HPD laptimes) still two spots open for HPD atm for those that like noob tube race broadcasted by griptv members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3509767.page

It's almost worth staying up for. Half of the cars will be in a big pile at the hairpin 1st lap :-) The only race I've never done here was an SRA race in the BMW. Matt Malone spun me twice and the 3rd time I caught him I got down the inside of him going into one of the fast corners and when he turned into me I turned back. That was end of race for both of us. At least he was able to concentrate on his broadcast after that
