R8 is a sick car. My dad has a 335i Patrik Runald. It isnt 4wd thou, as well... You dont buy 4wd for a BMW. But it's a helluva car. Very nice engine and to be such a firm car, it is much more comfortable than my own car.

Got rid of the Ram 1500 and replaced it with a 2014 X5 with the 445hp twin-turbo V8. Haven't been able to see what it can do yet as a Check Engine Light came on. Think it has to do with the change in altitude as the car was shipped from New Jersey to Salt Lake City as the 335 did exactly the same thing when we got it (also shipped from New Jersey).

HOW do you not have an OBDII scanner. Just hook her up, find it, clear it, call it a day. The CEL doesn't affect anything other than how bright your face is when you drive at night Just put some electrical tape over the light on the dash. Problem solved. Hahaha. I am going to update the BAM Facebook page with an update about the current BAM team founder's away-from-the-computer project. The KZ is getting some serious work in the next few weeks. Currently down to a frame and forks. -Travis

OBDII app? Like on your phone?
Spend the money and get a good one, you won't be disappointed. For all of our tuning purposes, we use HPTuners, so we don't really need a scan tool for that. I don't know of HPTuners takes care of a lot of Ford performance stuff, but it's worth a look. At my brothers shop there is a global scan tool ($3500ish) but I recently picked up some $199 scanner at Autozone at my shop and it works well. There are a few things it can't get into. Mercedes Body Control Modules, it doesn't read ABS codes and such on our Sprinter VAN, but general engine P-codes it does fine with.
Besides the crescent wrench, WD-40, zip ties and duct tape should be an OBDII Scan Tool. It's really that useful.

I only want to us the app as my aftermarket gauges have to be taken out as the sandwich plate between the oil filter and the block keeps leaking which has the sensors for the gauges. The app will have to replace them just for the drag day I'll be going to in June.

IIRC Most guys here in the states don't run that type of setup. There should be an NPT fitting either for the oil pressure sender, or an extra fitting next to the sender (I feel like the 4.6 in the Cobra had that extra NPT fitting, but I don't know about the 5.4). If all you have to work with is the sender, then install a Tee fitting and run a mechanical gauge off of that. That way, the PCM still gets its oil pressure reading, you don't have much of anything to go wrong, and you get accurately measured pressure instead of being lied to by that stock pressure gauge lol. The target for my bike is the end of May, early June. I have absolutely no interest to finish the MR2 anymore, so much of a hassle to get it up here and into a legal class for anything other than autocross that I'd rather put the money into something faster (or the bike). Sooooo if anyone wants a gutted Mk1 MR2... -Travis

I was going to do that but I have no idea where I would even start to try and find my factory oil sender unit lol I'll post up some pics later you'll see what I mean.

I think it's actually right by the oil filter on the block. On the 4.6L 32V's I believe it was for an optional oil cooler? No idea where it'd be on the 5.4L because I don't think I've... Well actually there's a 5.4L out in my yard right now, but I think it's a 16-valve and not the 24. Pretty sure there's some little changes like that in the 32V blocks, the 16 and 24V truck motors had a few differences.

I have checked out where the leak was coming from and found that the oil pressure sender unit is broken. So the fix will be easy, but I will look into that Travis "Zombie" Mihm as I think an oil cooler would be great in for this engine especially when I take it out on long trips.

As a 19 year old I am driving something that's not quite typical for a 19 year old..
A 2004 Ford Focus station. In white. With plastic door handles.

That sounds pretty young kid typical haha. I rocked a 4-door Sunfire with the 2.2L and the gutless shitty 3-speed auto. That thing was such a dog. Shifting it manually and accelerating really super slow I got about 34mpg and that's all I could muster. Letting it shift auto it'd shift so early and it'd only get 30.

What happened Marco? I figure I should update my ride situation. Mark "WiFI" Dyall I done joined that there Blue Oval Brigade. And it broke on me immediately Added a toolbox in the back, should be getting a Spartan tuner, DPF delete, and EGR delete in the near future. Oh and some Black Adder Motorsport signage since I'll be toting around my brother's Driven Industries '74 F100 on a trailer ALL THE TIME BECAUSE WE BREAK IT ALL THE TIME and my logo needs to be bigger than my brother's. 0909150635 by Travis Mihm, on Flickr 0915151902 by Travis Mihm, on Flickr -Travis
