That's so cool John! What were the best cars there? Those palmer formula cars have quite a lot of power, dont they? And do you know what they use there now?

Here's the current car line-up: www.palmersport.com/our-cars.aspxI haven't driven the "Formula Jaguar" single seater - the last time I went was 2006 and they were still using the Formula Plamer-Audi's. They were amazing and completely unrestricted - so putting out about 300BHP, the only thing we didn't have was the overtake boost button. The new cars sound a bit easier - paddle shifts etc - the FPA cars were H pattern. In 2006 they had the original Palmer-Jag sports cars but were pretty similar to the current ones - they were awesome as well. I haven't driven the Atom or the BMW - the GT car they had last time I went was a Jag XKR GT3 - 490BHP or something equally shocking. The Caterham is incredible - it was always my favourite car there - about 5 times more power than grip. What's missing now is a good small saloon. Last time I went they had Renault Clio Cup cars - they were really great as well. But what's unique about their events is that everything is restricted and in the cars with 2 seats you've got instrcutors (all young racing drivers earning a few bucks) who help you go as fast as possible. All the instructors also have bets which each other to see which of their drivers wins so they seriously go all out to help you. A mad day out for any petrolhead! The helmet is a proper Schubert replica of his 2006 helmet - my friends here all clubbed together to buy it for me for my 50th in 2007. They wanted me to use it for karting but I never did - WAY too nice and valuable!

Really impressive:) Would be cool to see some footage but I guess that is a long shot? Sucks that you had to be so unlucky, but I get what you mean. Looking at the bigger picture, you're incredibly fortunate and still so modest about how good you were. You must've had some talent and speed;)
I mst imagine the caterham to be tons of fun. It doesnt seem to be that hard to put the tail out haha:P What did you pay for the times you went? Ive seen different figures when looking on forums, but it seems VERY worth it. If I was deciding were to go to a holiday, Id been there already but I have to have some consideration. Is there any requirements as to how old you have to be etc? Would be pretty neat if some BAM members would be up for going there, but most of our members outside of europe it doesnt seem quite viable:P While I do want to go, I feel that it'd add a ton of value having people there that you know in some way and battle with them, instead of unknown people. But I could imagine there is a great atmosphere? Have you gone there as a private person or as a company thing or something in that manner?

Marco Mogren - normally I went with suppliers where they took a big group of customers. The last time I went with a group of 3 friends and we paid for ourselves - I think it was about GBP700. Going with with group of friends is best, espcially if they can drive - we joined up with other groups (basically they have groups of about 12 people at each car and then you cycle around during the day so actually they have 100+ people there at a time - normally there's 1 set of 50 or so "corporate" people who have their own competition and then another group of private individuals that compete with each other) but having friends that can egg you on and take pictures is great - and we won 4 of the events and finished 1-2 overall so we did pretty well :-). But, even if you went by yourself you'd have a great time - the hosts look after you really well and you have breakfast in the group you'll spend the day with so you get to know everyone pretty well. Afterwards they send you pics and the last time I went they had on-board video from the FPA but I've lost the file in a hard disk crash a few years ago.

So... Much... Win... Awesome stuff, John. I'm going to spend a bit of time today working on our website a bit more and getting ready to start promoting that and using it more often. Might have to do a Seasonal Quarterly write up on our "senior driver" -Travis
