Thanks ! I maybe on later tonight but if not, i'll be online on Saturday evening for sure if you're about. Also, do you use your virtual mirror, or do you disable it and use the mirrors on the actual car?

Welcome to the future! :: I'll gladly help you out with Voice attack and DRE later today if you have time? Will be doing IMSA, ProtoGT and some Mosport this evening. Mattias, I retrained my windows voice recognition two more times yesterday and got DRE to finally behave like it should, except I still have to sort out some issues Do you know how to make DRE/VA send joystick button commands to iRacing? So far I was able to have it push a keyboard button when a voice command is recognized, but not a button press. Not sure if this is a Voice Attack issue or not If i fix that, i'll buy the licence for dre, so far I've been using the free version are you on TS one of these evenings, maybe we can have a chat about it?

You know that you can easily change the voice recognition within Voice Attack. So that for example if it doesn't understand "Fuel" you could add the word "Boose" or anything else you want in Voice Attack / DRE configuration.
Usually in DRE you have several word combination for a specific action. Check the action manual and try it out. If you have still issues drop me a note and I can explain it to you on Team Speak.

Im reading the voice attack manual, but i can't find it in the 142 pages...

If you check the settings in VA there should be some box to check to enable joystick inputs. After that you can change each action and add so it uses a button instead of a key

Did anyone try Google Earth VR (it's free!)? You need to have those touch controllers, which I don't have, so I could only see the demo's. But this is so cool! vr.google.com/earth/

However I don't need joystick input but joystick OUTPUT What I would like to do is to say "traction control up" and DRE presses joystick 1 button 1,

If DRE doesn't recognized the phrase with your voice by any reasons, just change the phrase here...

But this is so cool! vr.google.com/earth/The new Google Earth VR is really a nice toy! And even if you don't have the Touch controller you should be able to handle some basics with your keyboard. Space – Look to a specific area and press space to confirm Enter – Menu opens Tab – Move camera Escape – Close application R – Restore your view Hope this helps.

Hey guys,
Is this possible to do:
I have my 2 rift cameras setup behind my driving rig. It's an area big enough to stand and play touch games etc. Problem is I then can't play VR racing games in my rig since the cameras are being used behind my seat area. Could I get a 3rd camera and set it up on my rig so when I sit in it I'm good to go and when I stand behind it the the other 2 cameras are good to go? I'm hoping I could do this without having to re-calibrate the setup each time I go from standing to sitting in my rig.
thanks for the info

Mattias Magnusson I just watched your stream. That looks awesome dude! I don't know if you did already, but could you share your stream settings? And what videocard do you have?

Mattias, that "headcam" overlay is quite cool, can you share?
Also, can you share the pic at the beginning of your stream? quite useful!

Thanks Tommy & Alessandro. The settings is days of just testing and testing to find a good color/contrast adjustment. I can post a pic tomorrow and upload the overlay and waiting image.

For those using DRE, please take a look here to potentially enhance the speech voice. The difference in quality is huge compare to the standard Microsoft voice. And "Amy" sounds really sexy and motivates me to drive a half second faster... Link: www.deskshare.com/text-to-speech-voices.aspx

After a longer testdrive today I'm still amazed about the overall experience. Well, I'm probably a bit out of practice and racing shape in general, but I already felt a lot more comfortable on track. Seems like I don't have to search for the apexes anymore, they're just there and if I don't mess up the braking point apexes feel so natural compared to triple screens, it's unbelievable.
Yet I still have some troubles getting the Rift to work in a couple of areas. For example, I'm mirroring the image on my desktop, single 27", 1440p, in windowed mode, but it doesn't really look like a window, it just takes all of the screen. Any suggestions? Also, and I believe it has something to do with the first problem, sometimes I can't move the mouse to navigate through the replay options (play, pause, cameras etc). It just won't let me go there with the cursor. It's no problem in fullscreen, but I'd like to get it to work in windowed mode. Don't know if I need the image mirrored for streaming as I just want to get the settings right for now. I probably don't need the mirrored image for the stream, but I'll get there once I've settled with the rift and started to go into streaming again. At least I found the image to be clearer with 150 pixel density instead of 200. Also framedrops are basically gone with the lower pixel density.
I'm still in the early stages, but I'm getting there slowly but steady settingwise. The overall experience is just mindblowing already, right off the bat.

Hi Alessandro - not sure, so as you get a license key by email. It might work, or the license owner will be banned - I don't have the expertise in this.

Stephan when using the windowed mode, any other window that covers the mirrored image will disrupt your in-game cursor control, so make sure that nothing blocks it and no windows are in the background that suddenly take focus and bring themselves to the top and covers.
I'm pretty sure you HAVE to use the mirrored window for streaming. AFAIK OBS can't use the HMD as source.
