Stephan when using the windowed mode, any other window that covers the mirrored image will disrupt your in-game cursor control, so make sure that nothing blocks it and no windows are in the background that suddenly take focus and bring themselves to the top and covers. Yeah, that's not the problem, more likely the edges of the screen. Like the complete bottom bar or the quit button in top right corner. I guess the windowed image is too big than, so it cuts off the edges of the cursor movement in the Oculus. Yet I failed to understand how the image is being done. In the config, I've set the windowed image to 1920x1080. Yet the actual window covers more than my 2560x1440 screen can show. I'm not sure what causes the image to be bigger than the 1920x1080... Does the "PixelsPerDisplayPixel" line in the renderdx11.ini work like a multiplicator for the windowed image (despite it's impact on the Oculus image)? For example if I put in "PixelsPerDisplayPixel=150" does it take the resolution (1920x1080) and multiplies it with 1.5 for the windowed image? That is, what's kinda unclear to me, how the size of the windowed image is determined.

Pretty sure pixel density does not affect the windowed image.
Curious, why did you set you windowed mode size and not just leave what the default was? Or am i misunderstanding?

Pretty sure pixel density does not affect the windowed image. Curious, why did you set you windowed mode size and not just leave what the default was? Or am i misunderstanding? Well, I want the iRacing window to be smaller than my desktop resolution, so I can better work with for example OBS later on. Did some setting tests, PD doesn't effect the size of the windowed image at all. So I turned my head to windowed resolution. I got as low as 1280x720 (so what my stream resultion probably will be later), finally the window was smaller than my desktop, but the size looked more like 1600:900. So there must be something that scales the window during the process. Don't know if it's something within iRacing or nVidia that's trolling me. For now I leave the windowed resolution at 720p, it does the job. I'm still curious what the issue is though.

Have a 3rd sensor arriving today so I can setup my rig + standing area for gaming. Spun up some laps last night in VR. Tried the dirt stock car for a few laps. Boy is that ever fun throwing the car in the corners. I could be convinced to buy some dirt content after that. Also did one of the fun truck races @ Phoenix 2008. Crazy how real it feels being in the truck with other trucks around you. I got my rift around the same time I ran out of time to race so didn't really get many laps in until now.

Mattias Magnusson have you noticed DRE+Voice Attack affecting frame rates etc by using up cpu cycles? Read through the manual and there is some pretty cool features. I have voice attack for Elite Dangerous so I may get DRE. I have a button box but it's weird to use it in VR. When racing triple screens I don't look down at the box and can use it fine but when in VR it feels really weird trying to use it so this DRE app seems handy.

Mattias Magnusson , Tommy Vandergucht : Apparently Oculus Home got an update with a new enviroment. When I put on the headset, it gives me the notification that I can go back to the old one. It's just I can't click it. I aim for the Ok button, but nothing works. So, how the fuck can I navigate in Oculus Home? Edit says: Please don't tell me, I have to use the remote control.

I used the xbox controller to click Mkay, thanks. X-Box Controller it is. A shame it doesn't work with the Logitech G29 (PS4 labeled though). I used all buttons on the wheel and buttonbox, even pushed my pedals, nothing happened.

Mattias Magnusson: Do you know if it's possible to mirror the right eye? Just set up my stream again for tomorrow and it's obvious the mirror only does the left eye view. Looks a bit odd on left turns because the A pillar fills most of the screen than.

I might have dreamed this but some update ago Oculus made it possible to mirror both eyes as DK2 did before. But them you would have to crop out the right eye and possible add the old OBS filter that removed the fish eye effect. Can try and look around for you if you want.

Nah, than I will fiddle around myself with it. Thought you may have a fast solution up your sleeves because you've streamed more often with your Rift than I did.

Get out of your racing seat, move 1m to the left of your racing seat with the oculus on your head. Now press the reset view button. Now get back in the seat = No more problem with the pillar being in view on left hand turns on the mirror image.

I will need a lot of help setting it up You won't. The setup process is kinda self explanatory as the Oculus software takes you through every step, from placement through calibration etc. What you probably want to consider is running the sensor and the Rift through different USB 3.0 slots, other than that I found setting up the Rift was a piece of cake. Edit: if you want to use DRE and voice attack (like making your button boxes obsolete through voice commands), that's something different. Haven't done that yet, don't know if I want it.

It's pure disappointment... I will send that back...
Software isn't working properly... (You cannot control Oculus video with the touch controllers), display quality is really really bad and it's uncomfortable...
I don't want that on my head the whole time...
It's not worth the money and it's not worth the time to get used to it...
